Pre-Athletic training students are permitted to perform basic skills such as taping and stretching on athletes
Students are to be evaluated using Foliotek at what points during their rotation?
Senior athletic training students do not require direct supervision while at their clinical site
The "One Minute Preceptor" model states that one minute per day should be taken to instruct/interact with/provide feedback to the athletic training student
The preceptor must be physically present and have the ability to intervene on behalf of the athletic training student and the patient.
All athletic training students are CPR/AED certified?
All sites must have written EAPs and train with the students before they begin patient care. EAPs must be easily accessible. Students signature is not required upon review and turned in to Program Director.
