Residence Life is so much more than a collection of buildings with beds. It’s about living and learning together, mutual respect, fellowship, and fun. Residence Life offers so many advantages: safety and security, quick access to class and activities, utilities/furnishings/insurance/meals/parking included….it’s a remarkable value.

 

Holt Hall

Holt Hall

Holt Hall is a four-story, mostly freshmen residence hall for women. It was completed in 1957 and is designed to house around 230 women. Holt has a residence hall director and five residence assistants on staff.
Woodward Hall

Woodward Hall

Woodward Hall is a three-story, mostly freshmen residence hall for men. It was completed in 1964 and provides rooms for approximately 120 men. Woodward has a residence hall director and four residence assistants on staff.
Howard-Payne

Howard-Payne Hall

Howard-Payne Hall is a five-story, co-ed residence hall. Built in 1858, the building was part of Howard Payne University for Women. Howard-Payne has a residence hall director and five residence assistants on staff.
Burford Hall

Burford Hall

Burford Hall is a four story upperclassman co-ed residence hall.  It opened in 1960 and was renovated in 2024.  It houses 83 residents and consists of 3-person rooms with full attached bathrooms. Burford has one residence hall director and four resident assistants.
McMurry Hall

McMurry Hall

McMurry Hall is a five-story, co-ed residence hall for upperclassmen. It was built in 1927 and provides suite-style housing for around 140 students. McMurry has a residence hall director and four residence assistants on staff.
Eagle Plaza

Eagle Plaza

Eagle Plaza is an apartment-style residence hall for returning upperclassmen and graduate students. It was completed in 2024 and provides apartment style housing for around 64 students. Along with housing for students on the top two floors, the first floor of the building provides spaces for local Fayette businesses.
