What is the Central Annual Scholarship Fund (CASF)?

The Central Annual Scholarship Fund (the CMU Annual Fund) is unrestricted, or not designated for any specific program or department. Gifts to the CASF come from alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff and corporations.

How are gifts to the Central Annual Scholarship Fund used?

The CASF is used for lots of different areas on campus. These gifts are available for the areas of greatest campus need. The fund boosts scholarship support, grows academic resources, advances campus technology, and maintains campus aesthetics.

Why is the Central Annual Scholarship Fund so important?

Gifts to the CASF have an immediate impact in the life and work of current students, faculty, and staff.

Tuition alone has never covered the costs of private higher education. The university must therefore count upon annual charitable support to help meet ongoing operational needs.
